Apples and Oranges

Traces

Sunshine today, and I finally got myself out the door for a longer walk. Been a bit lazy with that lately, but today was the turning point (again) and I took the time, during the walk, to get my priorities right. Since I'm beginning my practice in a couple of weeks I have a few priorities until then. 1'st is to go out for a walk every day, to be able to have the strength to do all of what I'm going to do later and to be able to have the fitness to walk home from town now and then. 2'nd is to take time every day for my paper, to have a lot done before the practice begins. And I have made other priorities to... some adjustment to my thinking, that will make me feel better.

And, yes, there's spring in the air... but not so much in the wind! Oh, boy, what a cold chilling wind!! Fortunately I was bundled up in layers upon layers so the only thing that complained a bit was my nose.
Before I got out I made a not so fun discovery. One of my non-slip thingys has broke. I had to take another pair of shoes, but on my walk I resolved the problem and will be able to use the non-slip things on my training shoes for a bit more. The shoes I had on are not suited for a longer walk. They're a bit worn out to and strangely my calfs get a bit achy when I walk in them. I thought I'd just walk for a bit and then turn home earlier then I usually do... but after a while I forgot about that thought and walked a bit longer instead. Then I found a frozen puddle and got really focused in taking photos of different ice bubbles and the trace of a bike riding through it. Cars and lorries past me by on the larger road, they probably wondered what was so interesting... When I turned and went back again I saw traces of myself after stepping in water and leaving marks on the asphalt. I thought about my blip from a couple of days before when some of you thought that the cute traces in the snow was mine, so I thought I'd better take a photo on my footprints to show you... stepped in more water, turned around and took that photo. When I started walking home again I was passed by a man in an orange jacket, he gave me a big smile and said hello. I guess he saw me standing over an icy puddle taking photo after photo, stopping for a moment, looking, moving a bit and the take a couple of more photos... :)
