Mystery object

On my walk this afternoon, there was nothing which inspired me for a blip. (Unfortunately this is a common predicament during lockdown).

Instead, I give you a 'mystery object'.
It is something to do with a little project that was keeping me busy this morning. 

There will be no prizes for guessing, other than the kudos you will gain if you get it right or come close to being right!
