A Sailor's Yarn

Not really being in a derelict mood, I was mulling over my options. The colors of one of C's knitting baskets appealed (hence the title's reference to a "yarn") as did the thought of blipping one of my vintage cameras like this Ansco Clipper (hence the reference to a sailor) so what do you get when you cross one with the other? Today's blip.

Curiosity sent me to early references to sailors and fishermen who would knit both to pass the time and create the warm and sturdy garments they needed aboard ship or out on the fishing grounds. It appears my title wasn't just a play on words after all.
