It was a beautiful morning here but by the time my duties were completed the sun had gone in, so I decided on another indoor blip.

This is another of my camera collection. By "collection" I mean those cameras that I have replaced but have kept in the cupboard. Like many cameras, this has spent far more of its life doing nothing than having film put through it!

It was my first SLR though, and I paid the princely sum of £18 for it second hand from a camera shop where I worked as the Saturday boy. I was paid £1.25 a day, and as I paid this back at £1 a week I was left with very little money for film and processing. (I added a telephoto lens for £12, but I gave that to a friend in East Germany in the mid-1980's). I used this camera for about 10 years, so I had my monies worth out of it.

I do remember the chap who had sold it to the shop coming back some time later and asking if we still had it. I told him that unfortunately it had been sold, but failed to mention that it was me who had bought it!
