More treats .. and an extra special gift

I had today off. I had to dial in for a quick meeting this morning so I was up early. I did a few errands before this lovely sweet treat arrived! Later I took my son for his COVID test at school. It was lovely to chat to a few other parents as we waited.

Then a very exciting thing happened - I went for my Covid vaccine! I got the text last night after I had posted my blip. So it was a special early birthday present to mark the last day of my forties! What a relief to get it and I feel very lucky. They said they were calling people from 16-65 with underlying health conditions so it’s either my asthma or something else minor but I won’t complain.

I spent an hour in the hot tub this afternoon enjoying the garden and just not having to work.

Dinner and more hot tub tonight and getting ready for the big day itself! And here’s hoping I don’t get any side effects... so far so good! Still it was important so I’ll put up with whatever comes.
