South Queensferry Mosaic Mural

This mosaic was made by more than 100 people out of sea glass and broken plates, and took over 10 years. It shows many of the main landmarks of the area. It is 13-metres long and was constructed in 32 separate pieces before being joined together by artist Mike Spring. It was unveiled in 2019, but at the moment you aren’t allowed to get in a better place for a blip. As the weather is forecast to be a bit windy in the next few days we decided to cycle out to South Queensferry to bag lots of turf zones for the contest against Skåne. It made for a longish day but worthwhile as it is now lashing down and really windy. The extra is a panorama of the three bridges from one of the turf zones we visited in South Queensferry.

Best on black.
