It was the surveyor's task to carve up the land into regular sections, enclosing the land for the improvement of farming methods, benefiting some more than others.

It was the stone wall builders who had to come to terms with the irregularities of the land, keeping the wall straight at all costs. What were their thoughts as they approached this mighty boulder? Did they enjoy the challenge?

The result is a work of art. It takes my breath away.
