King Of The Carni-VAAAAAAAL!

Day 2 of our Nice Carnival experience, and another day of glorious sunshine! Seriously, I could move down here permanently for the photographic potential alone...

Each year the carnival has a (usually quite tenuous) theme, and this here is the Roi des Cinq Continents, or the King of the Five Continents. I'm pretty sure they use the same king figure every year but paint a slightly different costume on him...

Anyway - a most fabulous time was had by all! I can highly recommend Nice Carnival to all humans, apart from those who dislike having fun :-)
