A Sure Sign

...of Spring. As I backed out of the driveway on our way to the DogPark this morning, I happened to glance upward  and there it was...the  the 'First Swallowtail Kite' of the season! Thankfully I had my camera with a long lens sitting on the seat beside me. These fairly large raptors fascinate me! They hunt 'on the wing', picking insects and reptiles from branches. So nice to see this one. And I'm sure more will soon follow.
