The Fallen

Lots of rain and lots of wind. Stuff down everywhere! Branches from high up in the oak trees have fallen to earth. Sad for the organisms living on them since I'm sure that they thought they were 'safe'. They were, for a while anyway. But I digress...Lichens are some of my favorite things to photograph up close. This photo shows some Shield Lichens. Perforated Ruffle Lichen to be a bit more specific. *extra...and for 'SillySaturday'...Soup
