Land of Lapwings....

Skylarks and Curlew. They were all here and calling. On the loch, there were Teal and Wigeon.
Off the tracks, the cushions of moss and heather were frozen, but standing on them, to avoid the pools between, they slowly subsided, depositing you in the bog anyway!
All very beautiful!
There was overnight frost and I started walking at 3C. It rose during the day to 6C, but was sunny and bright.
