A visit from our bubble family plus two calls from our boys . I have seen all the beloved faces of our children and grandchildren today and feel very grateful that it’s been possible.

Cold , icy rain meant that we were less tempted by the outdoors so we only managed 2432 steps on our walk which is pretty feeble . However it was uphill and we tried to walk at pace so that we gave our hearts some action . The newly waterproofed wet weather gear worked well .

Later I indulged in some online shopping and ordered some stories from Africa for Florence with a view to us each having a copy and us reading them to her . Her daddy’s favourite stories . I also chose myself some Bluetooth headphones so I can listen to all those podcasts , radio programmes , books that interest me but not my other half and finally a very colourful water play table for grandchildren that may visit . Tomorrow I shall try it out with rice and see what LBB makes of it .

I hope you and yours are all managing to get through these challenging times . strangely the nearer we get to the possible end of lockdown the harder it seems .
