A Sunny Day Without Sunshine

It was a cool and cloudy day. We have taken down the feeders due to a bird disease being in our state. Thank you Sunflower! I tried your new three ingredient scone recipe today. Since my children prefer fruit in theirs, I modified the recipe by adding a bit more than a cup of sugared blueberries and strawberry chunks, brushed the dough with melted butter and sprinkled with coarse sugar. They are tiny compared to my normal triangular scones but are delish, so light and fluffy. Can’t wait to share them with family. Hubby helped me make chicken enchiladas since my shoulder is still injured. The recipe is simple and bakes in 15 minutes. Great news at the dentist’s: he was able to fill my broken tooth. It is still numb so I haven’t tried eating with it yet. Since I do not have insurance, my dentist charged a very reasonable fee. More good news: with the new BP meds, my reading today was 126 over 75. It’s nap time with the kitties and then a quick dinner heat up. Another pleasant day. We can choose to be gloomy like the weather or find the warmth of the sun in our daily activities. I prefer the latter. Try it. Thanks for the visits.
