A Wild Ride
Happy St. Patrick’s Day Blip Land. Another cool, cloudy and rainy day here. It must be almost Spring. Rather than sit home, I accompanied hubby on his task route. We picked up our meds and a few groceries on base. This V22 Osprey sits at the Aviation Museum. Here’s a bit of info I found on line. “The Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey is an American multi-mission, tiltrotor military aircraft with both vertical takeoff and landing, and short takeoff and landing capabilities. It is designed to combine the functionality of a conventional helicopter with the long-range, high-speed cruise performance of a turboprop aircraft.” Wikipedia. These magnificent aircraft were tested here at the Paxtuxent River Naval Air Test Center. I bet the test pilots had a few wild rides on these unique birds. My sister and brother-in-law visited for awhile and we discussed final touches on one of our craft projects. We are excited about this idea although it won’t be unveiled until Christmas. I gave them a few scones and enchiladas to try. Rather than cook the ham I bought today with cabbage, potatoes and cornbread, for a traditional Irish meal, we are having leftovers. I simply don’t have much energy in the late afternoon. They will taste just a delicious tomorrow. We should all have great respect for our military; as they say, we are free because of the brave.
