Tasty ...
Drove from Munich to Paris in the morning for an evening dinner appointment at 8 pm with an accountant from Coopers & Lybrand at the L'Alsace Brasserie on the Champs-Élysées, Paris. A fine address.
Posting this nearly 30 years later, I can't be sure and my diary doesn't note it, but I think my boss MartynM the Finance Director of Mann Egerton in the UK made up the trio. I know I didn't pay and guess C&L did. They were no doubt after another big contract concerned with Mann Egerton's car businesses in Paris & France.
I'm sure the food was good, fish and seafood a speciality of the restaurant which opened in 1968. I suspect like many such establishments, its reputation is possibly better than the actual experience.
Spent two days in Paris at the BMW, Jaguar, Lotus and Rolls-Royce garages always fascinating as 99% of the action happens underground in this bustling city. Then drove back to Luxembourg for a visit to the excellent and very friendly Toyota & Suzuki dealerships. Then on to B;W dealerships in Saarland of Germany for a night & back to Munich Friday.
Good week.
PS I have cheated a tiny bit - the text & date is 100% correct, the photo was taken a few weeks later in December when I was back in Paris for a company Christmas Dinner elsewhere but took the opportunity of staying on a few days with Angie and had booked tickets for the Moulin Rouge
