Wide Wednesday: The Wall
We pass this wall regularly on our walks around the “top” of Street; it stands in the extensive and slightly overgrown gardens of a big old house and presumably is the only remaining wall of some outbuilding, the original use for which isn’t obvious although there are a couple of old grindstones lying in the undergrowth nearby so it may have been the gardener’s workshop. Anyway I like the colour and texture of the stone and its mysterious air so here it is, framed by the undergrowth on this afternoon’s walk, for today’s challenge.
We had a very productive morning: we finally finished our marathon decorating stint by putting the final coat of paint on the kitchen walls, I fixed a new curtain rail in the spare bedroom and the carpet fitter came to install the new carpet in there. All we’ve got to do now is put everything back in the right places.
