Middle Tarn

We are spoiled for walks in the valleys where we live.  Today we explored yet more  new paths and we rewarded with amazing views and varied scenery. This is Middle Tarn on Cartmel Fell, the extra is the view towards Whitbarrow with the sea just round the corner,  as we crossed over the fell. My entry  for the Wide  Wednesday challenge with the reflections framed by the surrounding trees. Hosted this month by RSD , thank you. The extra is perhaps wider but not framed.

The Virtual Walk . 6.5km took me out of Carlisle to a village called Beaumont where the delightful St Michael's Church  was built in 1296 by the Normans, on the site of a turret on Hadrian's Wall.  And  guess what the church is made from - yes  of course the turret and the wall.
