Packets of Pollen

The bees have been busy today. Apart from those that are bringing in fresh pollen, there were plenty of cleaners dumping rubbish from the hive. Bees from other hives have been trying to rob them of their stores. Scraps were frequent, leaving the invaders dead on the ground below the hive.

My bees are particularly docile. I can get right up to the entrance of the hive without a suit, but they aren't as friendly towards those that would want to deprive them of their hard earned honey. I have had hives which are much more aggressive so I wouldn't suggest anyone try to go too close unless they know the bees! Bees in a bad mood will chase long distances,
