Roadside Special

Glorious sunshine today, albeit a little nip in the air still. Tomorrow promises even better ..... and I have the day off after my assistant asked for a shift swap at short notice. YES!!

Took a ride up Earlham Road during my break today. The roadside crocus were planted around the Millennium and still flourish. There were bees doing their work today in the sunshine, cross pollinating the various common forms of Spring Crocus. The results of their work are quite plentiful along the verge, chance hybrids such as this one which is rather special.

Just over a year ago on 1 March 2012 I blipped Urban Crocus which is my most viewed blip so far (by miles - no idea why)
