Clematis climbing

A brief wander around the garden is as far as I’ve got today. Some chores and catching up on podcasts- it’s a chilly grey day here. This clematis is rampant; we inherited it , there’s no label but using a plant identifying app called Seek, apparently it’s a Sweet Autumn clematis ( virgin bower)? Which seems completely counter intuitive to the fact it flowers in Spring. Any thoughts?
