Third outer eye folly

That is Dunstall Castle beyond the daffodils, a Capability Brown folly for the Launceston family who owned Croome Court ( NT) in the 1760s. It was built as a cross between a ruined castle/ church for the landed gentry to admire from his stately home along with an arch and a rotunda in the parkland, hence the Blip title. Over the years it did become more ruined until taken over by Eve NT. A new walk for us, very enjoyable.
