Project 365 day 79: Donkey Shed
A long time ago, a former occupant of our house adopted donkeys, and, it seems, many other creatures. The decrepit but still more or less functional old shed where we keep the mowers was previously a donkey shed. The double door has a shoe, though I suspect it's too large to have belonged to a donkey. Repairs, sanding down and varnish are on the to-do and crumbling corners to remain available for plenty of future photography.
I'm pleased that we defrosted the chest freezer today - a tedious and unglamorous job which was long overdue. Good teamwork meant that the contents were quickly transferred into cool boxes and laundry baskets, wrapped in towels and a duvet, while the skilled application of a hair dryer ("Do not use hairdryers or other electrical appliances...") meant that the contents could soon be replaced and inventoried. Now we know what's lurking there, we can try to use all the bags of spinach and broad beans and boxes of raspberries and blackcurrants before this year's crops are ready to harvest.
I'm posting today's back garden photo for tomorrow's Derelict Sunday challenge, hoping I may manage a walk and more varied photo opportunities tomorrow.
Now, I'm enjoying a bottle of Thatchers Katy single variety cider as I fall asleep at the computer.
