Equinox

It's been another glorious day: warm only for a short while in the middle of the day, between a chilly morning and evening, but wonderfully bright. This is the young, self-sown cherry plum at the side of the house, which catches the morning sun and looked wonderful against blue sky - though in the end the blue sky shots were not the most successful. 

It's been a day of little jobs - a box of chard picked, more pots emptied, bird feeder refilled, grocery orders, emails with J; and I was excited to find that the lettuces and cauliflowers I sowed on Wednesday have already germinated. It's such a good moment when the first seedlings appear.
