Hellebore

Last week it was warm enough for young folk to be out and about in shorts and tee shirts ..... today it has been really, really chilly so the gloves and woolly hats are on show again.

I have two hellebore varieties that are very prolific with dozens of flowers and plenty of leaves and then there is this one which has one flower, one bud and a couple of leaves.

I did a bit of a bud hunt while walking round the park this morning .... primulas, horse chestnut, forsythia, magnolia, catkins, flowering currant and Siberian squill.  All the plants and trees are just bursting into life.
