Daffodils - radial symmetry
I find daffodils very tricky to photograph - they are pretty flowers but it is tricky to photograph them in a different way. Anyway they are a perfect example of radial symmetry so I am tagging this for the Wide Wednesday challenge of 'symmetry'.
A quiet day today- I enjoyed my walk with Xena in the woods this morning, it is a pleasure to no longer need wellies as there is no more mud. Blossoms everywhere, woodpeckers hammering in the trees and that wonderful feeling of spring.
Such confusing reports about whether or not we can book a summer holiday abroad. Unless you have lived through a wet and dark winter in the UK you cannot understand the desperation for a summer holiday! Travel is meant to be allowed from 17 May but that is looking less likely now. The problem is most decent places in the UK were fully booked by February, especially for a large family, and as the prices have escalated due to the increase in demand it is often cheaper with more availability if you go abroad, so a local holiday is not always possible. The key factor is whether the virus can still be transmitted if you are fully vaccinated. Our government are saying the science is not sure but it is likely we can still carry and transmit the virus once we are fully vaccinated, and therein lies the problem.
This evening I have booked for a Royal Photographic Society creativity live talk. They are held from 6.30 - 8.30pm which is such an inconvenient time for me, but now that the university term has ended for Tommy I can be more flexible with supper, so I will cook it before the talk starts and we can eat later than usual.
