RIP Herbie

The day started well, with a walk in the lovely morning sunshine.
However, we got back, and was expecting E to come for coffee, when we got a text saying she was at the vets.
 
Herbie was the same age as the oldest child, he had shepherded in two more little people and was the gentlest farm collie you could imagine. Loved a game of football, running around with the children  or “helping” with bottle feeding the lambs.   If he had any short commings , it was he wasn’t a “morning person” and was quite content, especially in the winter, to sleep in while the boss headed out on the farm at 6am.
 
 Just can't beleive he's gone.
