Mystery Bud

I have spent two  whole days pruning olive trees, doing grafts and clearing masses of blackberry  overgrowth. 

I saw nobody the whole except  my neighbour and his son  as they went by with  their tractor. and trailer full of olive wood. They are such lovely people, emanating peace and fun at the same time. The son is well educated but has to work on the land, with his father since he is unable to find a suitable job. He may be luckier than he knows.

The mystery bud is on a healthy looking plant that has been trying to grow in the same spot for the last twenty years and has just managed to actually do it. I don't know what it is yet, but I will let you know if and when the the many blooms have turned into fruit.

I have back blipped on 4th march about our youngest  grandchild.
