shelter
D and I went for a walk around Glenkiln at lunchtime. The weather was mostly dry until we were caught in a prolonged hailstorm..
At the time, we were in this little wood of Scots Pine trees. It was always a special place, once the site of a statue by Jacob Epstein, called Visitation. Today, we just sheltered behind the pines and watched as swathes of hail swept across the hillside. Exhilarating, because we were wearing the right clothes so didn't get cold or wet.
The sun is shining again now :-)
