Nest building

I intermittently watched a pair of magpies making a desultory attempt to get their nest ready. This seemed to involve flying off for some time to return with a twig they could have picked up much closer to home, and then deciding not to use it anyway.
In between times I did the usual stuff, food shopping, yoga, and changing a few pictures around. The photos of our NZ trip almost ten years ago really should be reprinted if I can be bothered, and the print cartridge hasn’t dried out.
Then things got more interesting in the afternoon with Janey Godley launching her new Scottish political party which will involve Pippa Dee evenings and soup on Thursdays.
