Ups and Downs

Most days I am bored with nothing to do, but today has been manic. Firstly James and Megan have had a falling out, so many calls from both, each thinking they are right. As in most cases, both said things they shouldn’t but now Megan is being stubborn and staying with her mum for the weekend. 

Then the floor to ceiling cupboard in kitchen which holds all groceries and crockery collapsed! Stuff everywhere while we had to dismantle the cupboard and come up with plan B. At the same time I had a doctors appointment. 

 Got home and Megan rang needing advice for an interview call with Superdrug. - they called back an hour later, she got the job and starts next week. 

Dan’s cat has been poorly for a couple of weeks, had pills etc to no avail, so he managed to get a vets appointment. Vet wanted £400 to do blood tests. We said we’d give it to him but of course he knew he’d then have to pay more when they discovered (if they discovered) the problem. So he went to the PDSA to find the cat had severe kidney failure.  Due to covid restrictions he was unable to stay with her while the vet put her to sleep. He was so upset. 

 So, a day of real ups and downs. Tomorrow we need to build a new cupboard!
