Out in the streets again

One of the local XR groups blocked a bridge with a pink boat to call attention to the climate crisis. If you look closely at the base of the boat, you can see a Buddhist nun and two other activists locked onto the boat trailer. They hope to remain in place for as long as they can.

I wouldn't have chosen this action, nor would I join this particular group (it's complicated, various sad splits and ideological differences on the left), but they are doing their best to do something, even if it's wrong. It was beautiful weather to be out in the streets making photographs again. Sue went with me and has posted her blip. It offers more context and shows the empty bridge.
