Hope Park

On 30 March 2015 I posted a photo of one of the unicorn pillars at the (west end) of the Meadows.

Today’s shows the daffodil display at the east end of the Meadows which used previously to be known as Hope Park.

This fact came about on researching the answer to a question from my wife as to why the pillars were there.

The following link takes you to a more detailed explanation including a link to Robert Burn’s father, printers and a drained loch.

An afternoon walk with the dog gave rise to 2 meetings. One with a friend and former children’s panel member. The other with our new church minister and his wife out walking with their dog. All very sociable and COVID friendly!
