New growth

This photo was taken in Craigmillar. When I was growing up it had a troubled reputation. And life there for some remains difficult.

Over the years housing has been replaced, a new school established, a new library and community centre built. The area has a different feel to it.

One of the brightest sights in spring is the parade of daffodils which stretch out alongside the main road through the district. There is always plenty of time to view them as the traffic moves much slower than the 20mph speed limit. But every year they bloom and multiply and give a freshness and vibrancy to the area.
