Appendicitis?

Had a bit of a rude awakening night before last, with abdominal pain. Yesterday morning I was sick, and then pain started making its way over to my right hand side - not massively sore, but definitely uncomfortable, and worse with movement (lifting my leg, turning over etc). Managed through the day, was sick again after having the cheek to try and eat an apple, and had another rough night.

So today I phoned NHS 24, went to see the out of hours GP, and then on to see a surgeon via A&E. I was admitted to hospital and put on fast. After a second examination, and the soreness staying at the same level (not worsening at all) I was allowed to have something to eat, but told to fast from midnight, and they would see how I was the following day.

The Bug and the Bear enjoyed a most excellent time with their cousins.

I cried a little bit.

Every member of staff was BRILLIANT, and my ward mates were a good bunch of characters too (R, M, and B).
