Murder Cleugh again

We did this 6 plus mile walk on 1 January so it was a very different experience today, stripped down to T-shirts. We’re so used to the cold and wet we had loads of layers and I even still had my gloves in my pocket. And things can change quickly in the hills.

Andrea and Pete came with us. He used to be in the Mountain Rescue till his hips got bad and even though he’s had new ones for years, he’s not been walking so much. It was really enjoyable to walk with them.

Thomas and James were sea swimming today - poor Ella and Nathaniel don’t get holidays till next week so were in school.

It has clouded over and the temperature plummeted by the time we got home so I’m glad we made the most of it. Just in case that was our summer.
