Fresh growth
Once again we were treated to a warm, though less sunny day. We decided to go for another walk at Ashwellthorpe. After our last visit, TonyG commented that it was a good place to see early purple orchids. I think we were just a bit TOO early for them. A few of the bluebells were starting to develop flower buds. We'll have to return in another few weeks.
The most impressive part today was the abundance of wood anemones, which combined with the celandines, and the violets made a lovely colourful carpet.
There was also gorgeous fresh growth on so many of the trees. I had to blip this one, as I spent ages trying to persuade the camera to focus on it, instead of the background, whist W tapped his foot with impatience in the background!!
