Harvest

I walked in the warmth and bright sunshine of the afternoon through the wood across the lane where there are vast swathes of snowdrops, as I promised Crocus Man. The idea being to capture the white woodland floor before the flowers fade and die.

It was magical, the sunshine filtered through the branches, the warmth magnified the delicate perfume of the snowdrops and the bees were out in force. I sat in the midst of the flowers a while soaking up the atmosphere and believed that spring really is here, my heart soared.
It has been a very long, cold and miserable few months.

The bees were out in force gathering the bright orange pollen and drinking the nectar.

Instead of the wide vista I planned I ended up choosing a close up.
