All In One, Almost
A very early entry for me today as I wanted to post my choices for wide Wednesday before we headed out for a couple days away (and left my computer behind). It turns out this image I hastily shot this morning combines many of the compositional techniques from the challenges this past month - symmetry, leading lines, patterns and repetition, and different point of view, the only one I’m missing is framing.
This marks my end as host for the wide Wednesday challenge, at least for a little while. I want to thank all who participated week after week. I don’t know if the challenges got more difficult or my choices proved to be unpopular, but entries dropped throughout the month. Likes and dislikes are entirely subjective, so if you didn’t like my selections someone new will be in charge next week. My picks this week:
Top 5 (Hearts)
Maureen6002 - Triple leading lines bring the eye directly to the center of interest, plus the light was superb. Even the thumbnail contained leading lines.
SamAgainPlease - My eye could only go to the top of the palms with these strong leading lines.
RockArea - Not as structured as other entries, but my eyes could only go to the tower where the various lines were directing them.
AnnieBelle - Another entry with a complex set of lines, but I certainly noticed the graffiti straight away.
rmeinz - A powerful black and white example of leading lines' possibilities.
