Snake's Head Fritillary
I noticed these Fritillaria Meleagris (Snake's Head Fritillary) growing at the Modern Art Gallery. They're a native wildflower and come in shades of purple and occassionally white. They look fabulous alongside the pale lemon Primulas.
Late this afternoon I spent a couple of hours out in the courtyard garden with the neighbours discussing planting options. It's east facing so no sun at that time of day - we were freezing!
I didn't spot any April Fool's pranks.
