Maundy ......

....... Thursday!
Another festival that won't be celebrated , as it has for many years . Another casualty of the corona virus . Let's hope with great care we will slowly , either get through it or learn to live with it.
This will not be achieved if we see crowds like the display in Nottingham at the beginning of the week. Why oh why don't people realise to improve the situation we need to take care . Rant over!!
I ventured to Sainsbury's this am, was in and out in no time at all. No queue , no trouble with S/D but when I left the store the queue was so long.( guess I just got in , in time).
At home there was a parcel waiting for me from my eldest granddaughter and her partner of a wonderful box of hand crafted chocolate, so kind of them.
I wanted to make a fruit cake, but standing & preparing the ingredients I find difficult . So, I've prepared ie weight & sieved the flour , weighted fruit etc . Now tomorrow I've just got to put it together and bake. Where there's a will there's a way they say.
Just as I was packing up another delivery came of flowers and chocolates from my daughter in Newcastle . How fortunate am I .
My blip today is what I see as I come out of my front gate. Such a lovely sight of Spring springing.

Thoughtful ..... Of how fortunate I am , altho' I've not had a comfortable week , I'm still here to tell the tale . As a priest I know would say " He's a good Lord"!
