Lucky break

Started off another cloudy day but I had meetings and work anyway so just got stuck in.
By the end of the day the sun had come out so I did a loop around Holyrood Park - despite the sun it was pretty chilly but good to be out. I continued listening to A Thousand Ships, our next book group book (about the women of the Trojan wars rather than the men) which I’ve been enjoying and arrived home with just10 minutes left in the book so just sat and listened to the end. Excellent. Liked her afterword reflecting on her motivation to write the book and the sources she drew on....and it’s not often an author reads on Audible themselves so was a bit like hearing her at a book festival.
Made some supper then a quiet evening apart from a chat to V who’s been on holiday this week hearing what she’s been doing and planning car swaps this weekend.
