Design flaw?

My mum and Lucy joined me on my walk this morning. We had a lovely stroll at Achaderry with much doggy nonsense, swimming and general crabbitness from Lucy. She gets very frustrated at Caley's ability to out run her, out jump her and most definitely out swim her; he knows she's not keen on water and has the fail safe option of jumping in one of the lochans to keep his stick safe. Bruce wisely does his own thing; a wee swim, a good sniff and just smiles at their antics.
The design flaw? My boys come home from their walk looking pretty much like they did when we left....Lucy on the other hand seems to have had a mud bath and picked up a couple of bushes. Glad I'm not in charge of untangling that lot!
