Jacobs Join????

We're having dinner with friends tomorrow and doing one course each; not a lot of work for anyone that way. We (me) are in charge of dessert and I've gone for Raspberry Marshmallow Cheesecake and a cheese board.
Our lovely friend J, not from round these parts, insists that a meal like this is called a Jacobs Join. We think she may be pulling our leg!!!!
