Just in Time

I made a chicken curry this evening. Normally this would be made from basic ingredients though I do keep a couple of jars of ready made sauce in the cupboard for when I haven't got all the ingredients.

It now being about a year since I last bought a jar of sauce I thought that I had better check the dates and found one with today's date on, so the choice of what to cook became simple. Add a few extra ingredients to make it mine rather than their recipe and all was done.

I intended to blip the date on the jar today but due to some of the sauce sticking to the inside of the jar behind the date it needed washing first. Unfortunately, the date washed off!, so instead another date, hot cross buns that are best before Good Friday!
