New shoes

Our granddaughter who turns 2 in May, wanted to show off her new shoes. How exciting it was for her.

Some days my mind is back raising our own kids and a memory will take hold of me. A memory of them when they were young, trying something new. Our memories can be kind and generous to us, which I appreciate.

Then suddenly I’m brought back to reality and there is my 2year old grandchild, pleased with her shoes. And I can’t believe how time has passed.

I imagine there will only be more moments like these.
