White-clawed crayfish

Deceased

I think a heron had probably been on the hunt for an Easter treat.

After a tasty brunch, we went for a lovely walk along the ancient sunken lanes and back along the river Lyvennet where we saw these remains of the crayfish as we heard the sounds of curlew, oyster catchers and circling buzzards overhead and having watched hares racing across the fields ... not boxing sadly!
Then it was tea and croquet on the ‘lawn’ with its challenging pitch and undulations followed by a delicious Easter Sunday supper. Very nice it all was too and I think it might be a Blip day as well. I’m not sure how many. I lost count ages ago but many thanks to everyone who calls by and to everyone here that makes blip such a smashing and very special community, especially all those at Blip Central who keep us ticking over so well. This year it has been particularly important and a much valued link to the outside world for which I have been especially grateful. Three cheers for Blip!

(belated extra received and added later ... Easter Bunny caught snacking)
