Searching for Mr. Hood
A trip out to see our other grandchildren, this time meeting in Sherwood Forest.
These two were full of energy and noise, climbing, scrambling and running everywhere. It was a delight and after not seeing them for so long, a real tonic for us oldies. As for the other two, well the oldest one was ,of course, being too cool to be excited, he was pleased to see us in his own way. The little one, not yet 18 months did not know us at all and is very wary of strangers. Totally understandable, she will need time to get used to the world having been locked up for 12 months.
After my complaints yesterday about the weather it is only fair that I praise it today. Yes it was raw cold but the sun was out and, when escaping the wind, was very pleasant. The drive home was more interesting with scattered snow/sleet/hail showers. We had a very heavy hail shower when we got home and were trying to unload the car, and still bitterly cold.
We never found Mr. Hood, no matter how loudly these two shouted, he was probably in an isolation bubble with his merry men . We will need another visit once things get more normal
