Lest We Get Bored...

The only people who have more projects than the Hicks and Ellises are the Turners. I cannot remember how many home renovations our two have helped them with. This time, hubby is helping Chris put shiplap boards in the upstairs hall and stairway. When I heard them discuss trigonometry to make the perfect cuts, I knew things were getting serious. The weather was perfect for all the outside wood cutting and later, for grilling. As soon as they moved into this home, first thing to go was the carpet. Hubby and Chris put the beautiful hardwood flooring you can see in the photo in most rooms. Skylar had to go back to school so my day started in getting her out the door. Those with teens can relate. After breakfast and lunch tasks, I took a well deserved nap before playing taxi service to get Skylar to/from theater and then dance with a trip to the grocery store in between. By 10:00 pm, I was ready to hit the recliner, my bed for a few weeks. Appreciate the visits, stars and notes. It is in giving that we receive and our blessings far out weigh the assistance we provide.
