Blue Tit

This was shot at our lovely hotel in Mauzac, east of Bergerac in the Dordogne, where we are based for our short birding tour. Today was grey with intermittent very light rain, and most of the birds were at some distance. But the countryside is lovely, with buildings of sandstone and delicate brick that often seem as if they've grown out of the landscape.

Our innkeepers are feeding us well, and they have a pair of very unusual dogs--more about them in the next day or two. I'll sign off now, since our connection is only through ethernet cable in the dining room--everyone else has gone to bed.
