A hub cap...

...on our walk this aft, that will no doubt be a stranger to spinning wheels for the forseeable...

Headed off to Chipping with a picnic to see John this morning. Arrived nicely in time to serve up lunch, but we had to shelter in the garage as it was raining - that really wet misty stuff that doesn't seem much, but soaks you through (see extras)
The rain had stopped by the time we'd finished, so we did a nice circular walk taking in good views of Pendle, Longridge Fell, Parlick & Fairsnape, and spotting new developments in the village - we haven't been since last summer! The ducks were strangers to the pond in Chipping this aft too, as it had been all but drained, and the youngsters trying to feed them couldn't throw their offerings far enough!!
John is managing Parkinsons, and more recently has had a tumour removed from his colon - the prognosis is good at the mo, but he wants to avoid chemo if at all possible - discussions with his surgeon on Monday. You can understand why we were keen to see him, despite travelling slightly further than "local".
